Who qualifies for Additional Child Tax Credit

To determine if you are eligible for the Additional Child Tax Credit, please use irs.gov ITA tool to complete the interview process. This will help define if you are eligible. 

The tool is designed for taxpayers who were U.S. citizens or resident aliens for the entire tax year for which they're inquiring. You will need the following information to conduct the interview. 

• Your filing status.
• Whether you can claim the person as a dependent.
• The person's date of birth.
